VOILÀ is an LA pop-duo consisting of Luke Eisner and Gus Ross. The band has racked up over 10 million streams over the past couple years, winning fans over with their catchy melodies, candid lyrics and dapper good looks. Today the duo have unleashed their latest offering, an infectious new single entitled Figure You Out

“Figure you out is a song about watching the girl you love in a relationship with the wrong guy making all the wrong moves and knowing you could love her better because you’ve actually taken the time to get to know her. Any guy can be Prince Charming but not every girl wants to be Cinderalla. Some girls don't want the fancy ball, they'd rather dance in the living room in PJs to Blink 182.” - remark Luke and Gus of Figure You Out

Luke and Gus met in class at USC, when they were paired up for an assignment. The two struck up an immediate friendship and before long were writing countless songs together out of their dorms rooms. Gus, VOILÀ’s lead singer, is an Englishman who moved to LA after years of singing in jazz bands in London’s West End. Luke, who writes the bulk of the lyrics, is also an actor and model; having starred in the Netflix original film Tall Girl last year and appearing in fashion campaigns for Ralph Lauren and American Eagle.

Luke expands on the sentiments behind Figure You Out:

“My current girlfriend used to be dating this guy who was really preppy and would take her to clubs, and rap shows, and worst of all: brunch. Sure that SOUNDS nice, but I was watching in the wings going crazy because he obviously didn’t take the time to get to know her. She hates clubs, she only likes punk rock, and not a day goes by she doesn’t just have lucky charms for breakfast so brunch is an ultimate breach of that routine. I knew I could love her with my eyes closed and that that guy was not the right one. Now we are dating so in the end it pays to pay attention to the little things in someone more than paying for a fancy dinner.”

VOILÀ has amassed a rabid following in just a couple years and earned critical acclaim from outlets like Billboard, Flaunt and People Magazine. With a new EP slated to come out in May, not even a global pandemic can slow down VOILÀ, one of pop music’s most exciting young bands.

About VOILÀ

“Refreshing,” “Romantic,” and “Relatable” are a few of the terms used to describe L.A.- based pop/rock act VOILÀ. Gus Ross and Luke Eisner, respectively from London and Wisconsin - combine authentic production, emotive vocals and magnetic lyricism as a duo.

Ross started out busking around London, which led to playing shows in London’s infamous West End: even performing for the Queen. He incorporates “raw emotion and old school jazz,” in his vocals. He is fascinated by the technicality of music and handles production.

On the other side of the world, Eisner’s passion for music came through lyricism: fascinated by timeless literature, he fronted bands in the midwest scene. “I strive to include at least one tattoo-able phrase in every song we write," says Eisner, who also maintains a professional modeling career, which helps craft the duo's aesthetic.

VOILÀ started 2018 as one of BBC Introducing Solent’s “Ones to Watch.” With millions of streams on their music to date, their singles “Hundredth Second Chance” and “Lately” continue to grow. After success on Spotify and BBC radio, the band drew eminent praise from the likes of Billboard, Pandora, and more.

They have supported the likes of Kesha, The Fray, X Ambassadors, Flume and Martin Garrix and will be closing out 2018 with a string of LA shows and the eagerly anticipated release of their new single.
